Behind The Fold
Behind every success story is a woman balancing the beautiful chaos of motherhood and a career – and “Behind the Fold” is here to share the raw, unfiltered truth of what that really looks like. Hosted by Rachelle Saevil, this podcast is for ambitious women who are navigating the highs and lows of being career-driven mothers. It’s not about perfection; it’s about embracing the mess, letting go of unrealistic expectations, and finding a sustainable path to success — without sacrificing your sanity.
Embrace the raw, candid conversations with women who are redefining what it means to "have it all” - not by following a cookie-cutter formula, but by making it work in their own way. Whether you're a career-driven mom, an aspiring entrepreneur, or someone navigating the challenges of family life, this podcast offers real stories, practical advice, and a supportive community for women who are in the trenches and thriving, imperfections and all.
Join in each episode for inspiration, advice, and a community of women who understand the struggle and the beauty of balancing it all. Whether you’re trying to climb the corporate ladder, launch a business, or simply balance the demands of both motherhood and professional life, “Behind the Fold” is your go-to space to reflect, learn, and grow.
Behind The Fold
When Nap Time Doesn’t Go to Plan (and Neither Does Life)
This conversation was one of those last-minute, everything-went-sideways kind of recordings. I had planned to sit down and record this ahead of time, but life (and my four-month-old) had other ideas. But the beautiful twist is that the disruption actually gave me the clarity I didn’t know I needed. What started as a rushed attempt to tick something off my to-do list, turned into a deeper reflection on clarity, rest, and redefining productivity. This is something I think so many of us need to hear: maybe it’s not that we’re behind, maybe we’re just not still enough to hear what we need.
Keep listening to hear me chat about:
- 00:48 – The irony of rushing to record a podcast about slowing down
- 03:46 – Why you can’t force clarity, but you can make space for it
- 06:24 – How emotional regulation starts with choosing to “be” rather than “do”
- 08:14 – The illusion of urgency and asking yourself: what are you really rushing toward?
- 10:31 – Reframing the five-year plan and leaning into consistency instead
- 13:54 – Ambition vs. presence and why I’m choosing sustainable forward motion over burnout
This episode is a love note to myself and to anyone who is also in the thick of things, trying to do it all. If you’ve been moving fast and still feel like you’re not getting anywhere, maybe it’s time to stop, even if it’s just for a moment. You might be surprised at what clarity comes through. I’d love to know where this one finds you! Leave a quick review and come say hi over on Instagram @RachelleSaevil. I’ll see you next time!
